The evening dedicated to honoring the stunning prince and princesses from various countries and tribes was a phenomenal success. This achievement was made possible through the hard work and dedication of all officers, members, and volunteers involved. From the moment guests entered the elegantly decorated venue, they were greeted with an atmosphere brimming with camaraderie and appreciation.
Ms. Angeli Chaves opened the night with a powerful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, perfectly setting the tone for this grand celebration. Her voice echoed through the venue, capturing the hearts of everyone present. Following her, Ms. Maricres Castro performed a soulful version of the Philippine National Anthem, leaving the audience filled with pride and a deep sense of honor. Her performance was a reminder of the rich cultural heritage that each representative brought to the night.
The event was skillfully emceed by the charming Ms. Digna Quimosing. She maintained high energy and engagement throughout the evening, ensuring that everyone felt included and celebrated. Meanwhile, Mr. Ceaser Quimosing captured precious moments with his photography, creating lasting memories for attendees to cherish for years to come.
As guests mingled, President Malou Valdez welcomed everyone and introduced a remarkable group of beauty queens from various Washington organizations. These queens and princesses did not just showcase their beauty and intelligence; they highlighted their commitment to pressing global issues. Their discussions ranged from climate change awareness, where they emphasized the need for sustainable practices, to addressing community health needs, stressing the importance of access to resources—issues that resonate deeply with our society today.
The venue was a visual delight, thanks to the collaborative decoration effort that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The standout feature was the golden photo booth, which quickly became a popular spot for guests to take pictures. Here, the air buzzed with laughter and joy as conversations flourished, making memories that would last a lifetime.
The night was further enriched by the incredible musical talents of KABAGIS. Lead singer Leah captivated the audience with her voice, creating an enchanting atmosphere. A memorable moment of the evening was her surprise duet with Rhea, where their harmonies beautifully filled the room. The performance of “New York, New York” by FMDT electrified the crowd, bringing everyone to their feet in applause.
Attendance at the event was remarkable, with guests traveling from as far as the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Canada. Many attendees came from neighboring Tacoma counties. At La Quinta, they enjoyed a mouthwatering dinner, with dishes crafted to perfection. The careful presentation and exquisite flavors demonstrated the chef’s expertise, making the meal an experience in itself.
As the evening unfolded, Vice President Julia Merafuentes took the stage to express heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the event. The atmosphere was one of love and togetherness, uniting old friends and new acquaintances alike. Conversations flowed, and laughter echoed, creating a hopeful ambiance for a better year ahead—a year where the community stands strong together.
As we reflect on this memorable night, let's hold onto this inspiring reminder from the Bible: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11.
